The conference focused on the many changes taking place in Lansing and Washington D.C. and the potential impact these changes will have on Michigan's cities, villages and urban townships. The conference had sessions on the Michigan Medical Marihuana Law, Complete Streets initiative, Gov. Rick Snyder's budget proposal, plans to reduce revenue sharing to Michigan communities, long-term budg! et solutions, the new emergency financial management law and many other topics. Earl Poleski, R-Jackson; Jared Rodriguez, of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce; Carolyn Coleman, director of federal relations for the National League of Cities; CeCe Grant, Michigan statewide organizer for Transportation of American; Tim Hoeffner, administrator for High Speed Rail & Innovative Project Advancement for MDOT; Keith Ledbetter, dir! ector of legislative affairs for MITA; Battle Creek Mayor Susa! n Baldwi n; State Rep.
